The 3-dimensional embossed enamel technique is perfect for Mel Ramos' works. As one of the last living pop art artists, he is fascinated by the effect of these brilliantly colored steel plates.

Enamel plates have been used all over the world for advertising since the beginning of the last century: in department stores, in the street or in the general store on the corner.

The absolute reality and trivial presentation of the advertising so typical of pop art cannot be reproduced as perfectly by any other medium.

We are the world's only producer of the Mel Ramos Enamel Edition, and it is we who prompted its creation. We choose the artworks together with Mel Ramos, produce strictly limited numbers of the enamels chosen and place them on the art market as the sole dealers. This means that every original Mel Ramos enamel plate on the market is produced by our company.

Mel Ramos naturally has examined each of these works in person. Each item is individually signed and numberd by hand.

Enamel editions by Mel Ramos which have already been issued and sold out (produced in the past by Rupert Schroeder). Except for "Chiquita Banana", approx. 10% of each series were ap (artist's proofs) and a few hc (hors de commerce), i.e. off the market.
